Following the successful completion of Phase One Wi-Fi connectivity across a customer’s warehousing operations, the next phase of the project focused on achieving full Wi-Fi coverage in the manufacturing and finished goods areas.
Phase Two comprised of 14 new Wi-Fi units being installed, with one existing unit moved in to provide complete Wi-Fi coverage throughout these areas.
Overcoming Challenges
Parts of this installation were carried out in a live working environment, requiring minimal disruption to allow normal business operations to continue. Other parts of this installation took place outside of normal working hours, requiring flexibility from both the Frost team and our partners Netlinx to meet the client’s expectations and deliver Phase Two installation on schedule.
Darren comments “I’m delighted that both Phases One and Two of this Wi-Fi connectivity project have been delivered. In total, over 25 new Wi-Fi units have been installed, providing complete coverage across our client’s entire warehousing, manufacturing and finished goods areas.
“Phase One presented challenges for the team. With warehouse racking in place and dense products, existing access points couldn’t provide the necessary coverage required. To address this, we commissioned a thorough survey and were able to identify the access points to install. It’s been fantastic to collaborate with our partner Netlinx once again, to ensure that all working at height procedures were carried out safely.”
