Darren Frost – Director​​

Darren founded Frost Consultants nearly a decade ago with the goal of simplifying IT for small to medium-sized organisations based in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. 

 

With almost 35 years in the IT sector,

Darren’s extensive IT knowledge across

industries including food and

manufacturing, ensures that Frost Consultants

can provide highly effective IT provision,

adding value and advice to help clients

select best-fit systems, IT hardware and

software solutions.

Extensive background in the IT industry

Darren’s background includes IT strategy, systems implementation and specialisations covering management business systems, infrastructure, and managed IT solutions.

 

Notable achievements include:

 

  • Data centre relocation: managed a data centre relocation within a 20-hour window, overseeing backup, dismantling, load, transport 75 miles, reassembly, testing and handover to the UK businesses

  • Business transition: oversaw the transition of a business from a corporate owner to a stand-alone business, replacing all IT aspects and integrating them with the exiting business, addressing security issues and minimising disruption

  • IT strategy development: created a new IT strategy focused on best-in-class solutions and business improvement, ensuring strategy delivered cost-efficiencies and efficient infrastructure

Nick Sims - IT Consultant

Nick joined Frost Consultants in 2020,

bringing over 21 years of experience in

various IT roles, including network

management, managed IT and technical

and project management.

 

Nick’s specialisations include security

systems, network analysis, and technical

IT, with experience in food, manufacturing,

and print and 10 years of experience in

the financial sector.

Nick brings 21 years of experience covering network management, managed IT & technical IT

​​Notable achievements include:

  • Management information system implementation: Successfully implemented a management Information system within the finance sector, ensuring high availability, secure connections and adherence to industry-standard practices with key testing milestones

  • IT systems migration: Overseeing key IT systems migration during a merger from a small building society to a large bank. During this project, we coordinated with a team of project managers to ensure timely delivery and maintain systems integrity for the end

Joe Keenan - IT Consultant

Joe joined Frost Consultants in 2021 as an IT Technician, soon after began his IT Solutions Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship provided him with theoretical knowledge and practical experience, equipping him to deliver site-based managed IT solutions and infrastructure projects.

Joe has also been busy learning various aspects of the Frost business, service proposition and gaining an understanding of clients’ requirements.

 

With over three years of experience in the sector and having worked on a broad array of projects, Joe’s expertise lies within IT hardware system installations, from PC and desk set-ups to Wi-Fi and CCTV installations.

Notable achievements include:

 

  • Server room relocation: this project involved moving the server room from one site to another, including rewiring the new location and connecting both sites with fibre, enabling users at both sites to access the same network and information

  • New phone system installation: with over 50 numbers and a mixture of handset and Webex users. This required full configuration, including transferring the company’s number from one phoneline to another and configuring the entire phone system
